Whaddup Guys…YOU MADE IT! My name is Barenese but everyone who knows me calls me Berri. Yesssss a girl Berri, spelled with an “I”. I would describe myself as a vacation obsessed, let’s see how many things we can fit into one day, woman from Los Angeles, California currently living in New Jersey and working in NYC. Traveling is always on the to-do list for me and I am always seeking the best scenic-breathtaking adventures (I live for a great photo op) for the best deals possible. Balling on a budget is the name of the game!!! I would like to think of myself as the “Queen” of the bargain. If I could travel all day, every day, I wouldn’t because airports suck…. but I would definitely travel once a month in the perfect world.

Heyyyy ya’ll! As the other half of Double Dose of LA I am pleased to introduce myself - I’m Shavonti, a Los Angeles, California resident and native that pretty much only goes on vacations for the room service, pics, and peaceful sleep in a poolside cabana! I am the friend that everyone loves to hate to bring on a trip. You know, the one that over packs and is more interested in staying on the resort grounds than actually venturing out and site seeing. You can count on me to find some over the top travel accessories, the best spot to take pictures (complete with great ambiance and perfect lighting), the best food, the best kid free pools, the best spas, and a cool museum or two! I’m not biased as to where I like to travel, from a small town to a big city...

Double Dose of LA came about due to the lack of solid travel information out there. If you’re anything like us, we live for a recommendation from a person we actually know (you and us? we now know each other!) opposed to a website like TripAdvisor. Don’t get us wrong, we will refer to a website like that but we don’t think it’s always the most trustworthy information. After posting pictures or videos on social media of our adventures, we always get tons of questions about accommodations and our vacation outfits, so here we are! Sharing all the sights, hotels, restaurants, must dos and even the things you can skip during your vacation. So now that we got that out of the way….
